Handcrafted moss walls blend the tranquility of nature with contemporary design, creating captivating focal points that evoke a sense of peace and rejuvenation. The result is an impressive botanical masterpiece that brings the outdoors inside, without the need for maintenance or watering.

Categories
Available in a variety of sizes, shapes, and configurations, these moss walls can be customized to suit any space and style. Whether you're looking to add a touch of greenery to a residential living room, a corporate office, or a hospitality environment, the moss walls offer a versatile and sustainable solution.

Applications
These moss walls can be customized for any space, whether residential or commercial, enriching and enlivening the environment. The preserved moss creations can be hung as single pieces of art or designed with custom panels incorporating a variety of natural materials such as mosses, ferns, natural branches and rocks, reclaimed wood, and other botanical elements. Everything in the custom art is naturally preserved, making it effortless to care for and maintain.

Features

All plants used are 100% preserved real plants, never synthetic, and are preserved with a UV-resistant solution. Additionally, all moss and plant materials used are sustainably sourced in the United States, and every aspect of production is conducted in the United States. The wooden frames are handmade entirely out of locally reclaimed lumber.

The moss coverage materials are 100% sustainably grown natural moss plants that have been preserved instead of dried. Our preservation process leaves the moss pliable, soft, springy, and lush, giving it a similar feel to a soft fabric carpet. The moss grows in round, oval, and irregular shapes that rise off the canvas with a dramatic profile, creating a visually stunning and texturally interesting display.

Installation

Panel Installation
Panels can come with a nice raw edge and a short moss overhang. This overhang can be trimmed for appearance after framing or installation to reveal however much frame or edging material is desired. This edge is ideal if the moss panels are to be inset into existing architecture or if the architecture will be built up around them.

Bas-Relief or sculpting
The production team can create iconography, such as logos or designs that rise off the canvas. The raised element can be quite complex and finished "flat" or "contoured" in itself.

Frameless
Occasionally, a piece would serve best without framing at all. We can finish a bezel or square "edge" to our panels so that, if applied directly to the wall, they appear to be moss shapes "grown in" to the location. This treatment leaves the edges delicate to chipping and should only be placed in locations out of reach.

Reference projects

Mitsubishi Motors North America Headquarters
The new headquarters for Mitsubishi Motors North America represents a move to the Nashville, TN area, and a shift to a more open workplace culture underlined by a bold, dynamic design. The project incorporated Artisan Moss's Plant Painting Panel System in the feature stair and break area, creating a garden under the stairs. This vertical garden element made of living moss panels, references Mitsubishi's Japanese heritage through a traditional dry-sand Zen garden while also contributing to the biophilic design and enhancing the overall experience.

Cultivate
In Cultivate's Worcester store, Kripper Studio masterfully balances upscale design with a welcoming atmosphere. Despite a pre-built structure, warm hickory walls and a subtle lighting grid create a spacious yet intimate interior. Security seamlessly integrates, while ADA-compliant counters and custom displays prioritize customer comfort and functionality. Simple materials like concrete, wood, and metal are elevated by sophisticated detailing, and the moss panels and live plants are woven into the design reinforcing the brand and biophilic principles. Even the vibrant green exterior with its functional canopy welcomes customers for a positive shopping experience.

Vocon Cleveland

Vocon's new Cleveland office prioritizes collaboration and adaptability for their growing team. The space offers employees flexibility for individual and group work, while abundant natural light and comfortable features promote movement and well-being. Design elements throughout reflect their culture, with a bold Red Room symbolizing focus, and a lobby wall showcasing employees, events, and company news.  Even a preserved moss wall with a designated spot for a motivational neon sign blends nature and modern touches. that says, “Crush It Every Day."
