Tom Bassett-Dilley Architects Ltd
Tom Bassett-Dilley Architects (TBDA) aims to help their clients build a healthy, beautiful, low-carbon world. As an Architecture 2030 Signatory Firm, they have committed to deep energy reductions in all of their buildings as a key element of positive cultural impact since 2015.
Founded in 2006 to pursue sustainability as contemporary design based on region, climate, and context, TBDA has completed nearly 200 projects featuring new buildings and renovations in frame, masonry, insulated concrete form, structural insulated panel, and modular prefab systems. They are proud to have designed the first certified Passive House projects in the Chicago region, as well as LEED, Green Star, and DOE (Energy Star and Zero Energy Ready) certified projects.
TBDA designs for a carbon-free future. Their projects include single- and multi-family residences (new and remodel), historic preservation, institutional buildings (park buildings, schools), and commercial buildings primarily in the Midwest (Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan). In keeping with their mission, a project is a fit if it requires their comprehensive design and energy planning expertise. TBDA works with trusted consultants for landscape architecture, lighting and other specialty design, and structural, mechanical-electrical-plumbing, and civil engineering.
